Jan A. Miller, President/CEO of Wainwright Bank, Elected Chairman of Massachusetts Bankers Association

BOSTON, MA - July 28, 2005 - Wainwright Bank & Trust Company (NASDAQ symbol "WAIN"), is pleased to announce Jan A. Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts Bankers Association.

The Massachusetts Bankers Association represents 215 commercial, savings, cooperative, and savings and loan institutions throughout Massachusetts and New England.
